To assist you in your genealogical searches
Our archives contain only very limited and occasional information on individual policemen and policewomen, and their careers. This type of information is primarily available via the National Archives of Finland.
If you wish to obtain information on a particular person, for instance a Finnish policeman or policewoman in your family history, providing the following details will make your request for information easier:
- full name
- date of birth or death
- service locations and times.

Ordering images from our collections
We deliver chargeable copies of the images and films within our collections. Submitting a payment grants you a one-time license to publish the file you ordered. Let us know which type of image or film you are searching for, and we will be glad to search through our databases and inform you about the types of materials you would be welcome to access.
Before this, please make sure to inspect the image bank on our website: the images hosted within are free to use as part of, for example, magazine articles and presentations concerning Finnish Police history and the Police Museum. When using the images, always cite the source, i.e., the National Police Museum collections.
