Events at the Police Museum

Welcome to talk with police officers and police students and get acquainted with a wide range of equipment, from motorcycles to drones. There will be lots of fun activities for the whole family. During the day, you can watch for example a police dog demonstration and the gaming police stream, for example. Police horses will be on site as well! We will also provide several free guided tours of the exhibition “Marias and Mörkös” (guided tours in Finnish).
The event begins at 12 noon and ends at 5 p.m. On this page, we will publish the exact program of the day and information about the demonstration points closer to the event.
The event is organized by the Police Museum, Police University College and Central Finland Police Department.
You can meet the basic course for motorcycle patrol officers and course instructors in the yard of the Police Museum from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon. Welcome to chat with future motorcycle patrol officers and see their motorcycles!
Come and meet the students from the Police University College at the Police Museum! Police students practice working with ordinary citizens in the museum as part of their professional practice day. During the day, the student patrols visit different checkpoints at the Police University College campus, and one of the checkpoint tasks is to meet the public at the museum. Police students talk with museum guests and can even play with children in the museum’s children’s department Pokela.
The Police Museum opens its doors at 9:30 a.m. on practice days for police officers. The student patrols arrive at the museum at around 9:40 a.m., 10:05 a.m., 10:35 a.m., 12:05 a.m., 12:35 a.m., 1 p.m., 1:50 p.m. and 2:10 p.m. One patrol stays in place for about 20 minutes.
