The Police Museum is closed due to water damage and will reopen on Tuesday 19 January at 10 a.m.

"The water caused less damage than initially feared. Fortunately, the actual museum building did not suffer any damage, but we will have to reduce the size of the permanent exhibition somewhat due to the drying of the items and emptying of the showcases. The special exhibition Demanding situations and the use of force - which has attracted many visitors - and the families' favourite, the children's section Pokela , remained undamaged," Intendent Aimo Aitasalo says.

During the repairs, you can take a virtual tour of the museum.

The Police Museum is part of the Police University College in the Hervanta district of Tampere. Opening hours: Tue - Fri 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., Sat 12 noon - 5 p.m.
